CHÂTEAU TANUNDA
Château Tanunda is the first vinery in Barossa and it sure lives up to its name and fame. Dating back to the 1840s, it has witnessed a rich and unique history. When Europe’s vineyards were decimated by phylloxera, the founders saw an opportunity to build a Bavarian-style château to produce top-quality wines. The Geber Family took the ownership of The Château in 1988 and has kept alive the tradition of wine making by producing some of the finest quality Shiraz, Smillon, Grenache and Riesling in Australia.
LOU MIRANDA ESTATE
Lou Miranda Estate is a boutique winery. Owned by Lou, his wife Val and daughters Lisa and Victoria, the winery is famed for producing top quality wines under the name of Leone and Lou Miranda Estate. You can take a tour of the beautiful winery and gorge on some of the most delicious food from their family owned restaurant. As you enjoy great wine and delicious food and look out of the tall gothic cathedral style windows, beyond the market garden, you are sure to go back in time. They produce both red and white wines matured from 5 to 50 years.
