Visitors to South Australia this year may wish to explore the region on two wheels, the tourist board has suggested.
Outdoors fans booking a flight to Australia for a holiday this year may be interested in a range of new cycling tours on offer in the destination.
Travellers taking a holiday in South Australia have many different themes, lengths and abilities of tours to choose from.
Among the tours on offer are the five-day Gourmet Cycling trip and the 13-day adventure in the Outback, Flinders and Vineyards.
Departing on various dates throughout August, October and November, visitors to the country can also opt for a three-day tour of Kangaroo Island or an “epic cycle tour” through the Simpson Desert lasting two weeks.
Adventure-lovers taking an Australian holiday can enjoy gentle cycling, combined with wine tasting and fine dining or taking in the wildlife and fauna of Australia’s Galapagos.
Kangaroo Island is the third-largest island in Australia and is seven times the size of Singapore.
The tourist board claims it is a “pristine wilderness” and only 4,400 people call the island home.
