Adventure lovers on holidays in Australia will now be able to drive along a new touring route that takes in all the sights featured in Baz Luhrmann’s new film about the country.
Taking approximately 11 days to drive, the Northern Territory Tourist Board comments that it “is set to become a classic Outback Australian journey”.
For those with a love of adventure, the organisation recommends taking the Gibb River Road part of the route, which is a 660km rugged bush track that will take holidaymakers to two remote cattle stations.
Australia the movie will be released in the UK on Boxing Day this year and stars Nicole Kidman – who plays an English woman who has to drive her cattle 1,500 miles across Australia in order to sell them – and Hugh Jackman.
