The Olympic Park in Sydney is playing host to a range of family-friendly activities, shows and events over the coming fortnight.
The Royal Easter Show got underway in Sydney today (April 14th), offering visitors fresh from flights to Australia a chance to enjoy a great family day out.
For the next 14 days, visitors to the city’s Olympic Park will be able to enjoy a range of fun activities including petting zoos and lumberjack challenges.
Kids will enjoy getting up close with the cute animals at the Dairy Farmers’ Farmyard Nursery, including puppies, lambs, chicks, baby ducks and goats.
Animal lovers can also enjoy a bizarre new event – the pig obedience challenge, where untrained hogs and sows will be let loose on an obstacle course.
This inaugural event, which was inspired by a pig escape at last year’s Royal Easter Show, is sure to prove entertaining.
Finally, those looking for feats of daring and skill can check out the Bushwacker Lumberjack Show, which features burly experts climbing and cutting trees with chainsaws.
Tickets are on sale now, priced from $22.50 (£14.50) per person.
