Sydney has many attractions and as such is one of the premier holiday destinations in the southern hemisphere.

Despite being blessed with a great climate, stunning local scenery and being home to some iconic architecture, the city does not rest on its laurels – holding many great cultural displays every year.

Minister for tourism, major events and the arts George Souris has just announced a new double coup for Sydney, as the New South Wales metropolis will hold exhibitions of two of history’s most famous artist.

The works of one of the art world’s most celebrated sculptors – Anish Kapoor – will be on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia from December 20th.

In addition, the Art Gallery of New South Wales will be home to the largest Francis Bacon exhibition ever seen in Australia.

The works of Bacon will be on show from November 17th.
