Some of the world’s most popular groups will be playing at this month’s Big Day Out in Melbourne.

Music fans on flights to Melbourne could be planning to snap up tickets to this year’s Big Day Out festival in the city.

This year’s tour will be stopping in Melbourne on January 29th at the Flemington Racecourse, with headline sets to come from the likes of Soundgarden, My Chemical Romance and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

Guests will also have the chance to see some new Australian and New Zealand-based groups perform during the day-long festival.

Now in its twentieth year, the show will also be stopping at the likes of Perth and the Gold Coast during the tour, giving travellers plenty of opportunities to get tickets to one of the festivals.

A number of big events have been taking place recently which could entertain people on flights to Melbourne, with the city’s Chinese New Year celebrations set to take place on January 29th and will feature a 92 metre long Chinese dragon carried by 80 people.
