Under the Sea 3D is to be shown in Imax cinemas across the UK and the US and will see the Truman Show actor introduce audiences to native Australian marine life such as great white sharks, cuttlefish, sea dragons and sea lions.

For those keen to see the bottom of the oceans first hand, the South Australian Tourism Commission recommends heading to Baird Bay off the Eyre Peninsula, where tourists have the chance to swim with wild sea lions and dolphins.

Meanwhile, for people heading Down Under between May and August, giant cuttlefish congregate around Port Lincoln and Whyalla and visitors can snorkel among them.

The organisation also recently recommended a trip to Lake Eyre in order to see an array of wildlife, since the body of water is currently filling back up after a long dry period.
