The Santos Tour is set to take place in Australia next month.
Travellers taking flights to Australia next month may be able to catch sight of the thrilling Santos Tour Down Under when it takes place in the south of the country.
The international cycling race will be taking place in the country between January 15th to 22nd, as the competitors head to Adelaide and the other stunning locations around region to compete in the contest.
Racing begins with The Down Order Classic in Adelaide, a closed circuit race which covers 32 miles.
It is then spread out into six other stages, with the cyclists set to cover a distance of around 500 mile as they attempt to be named as the 2012 champion.
Fans of the race will be able to get a view of the action from above, as a helicopter experience is being created to watch the cyclists race from above.
Some travellers taking flights to Australia with Virgin Australia in the future could be helping the environment, as the airline is lending its support to a process of creating biomass into aviation fuel.
