Wine lovers may wish to go on holidays to Australia to experience one of the world’s best regions for production of the drink, it has been suggested.
Barossa Valley in Australia ranks at fifth on the compilation thanks to its high-quality Shiraz and other red wines.
Stellenbosch in South Africa came in at ninth on the list and was also found to be one of the most visited wine destinations by tourists.
“Wine lovers are increasingly following their passion on [holiday] with more visitors to wine regions, which now boast top hotels, restaurants and tours,” the newspaper stated.
Barossa is situated in south Australia and allows visitors to cycle, play golf, bushwalk, visit festivals and shop amid the rolling countryside of the wine producing region, Barossa.com attests.
