Oregon’s largest city, Portland expresses its love for beer quite freely with a large number of breweries and a larger number of beer festivals. Portland hosts exciting beer related events throughout the year. Two significant beer festivals are held in the Valentine’s Month as well. If you are planning to visit Portland, we recommend, you attend these events.
Zwickelmania
Zwickelmania is a one-day event held in Oregon every year on the President’s Day weekend. On this day, every year the breweries welcome all beer lovers to participate in the events. The event celebrating the love for beer falls a day before the Valentine’s day; on the 13th of February from 11 AM to 4 PM. About 120 small and big breweries have planned to be a part of the meet-the-brewer events. If you are planning a Valentine’s Day trip to Portland with your partner, drop by a brewery for some delicious and crisp brews. Zwickelmania is not limited to Portland but six regions of Oregon. Last year more than 30,000 people participated in the event by touring 115 breweries.
StormBreaker Brewstillery Festival
The restoration of the brewing industry in the USA helped the brewing culture of Portland to flourish. Every year, a good number of breweries are opening up for the people to satiate their love for beer. On the 27th of February the popular StormBreaker Brewing are going to host their second Brewstillery Festival. In this festival both craft brews and other spirits are going to be combined to give guests the best of both worlds. After all, the people of Portland share a common love for beer as well as spirits. Brewstillery Festival aims at bringing both together with this festival, for the second time. In the festival, craft beer from 15 local breweries is going to be paired up with spirits from 8 Oregon distilleries. You have a choice of pairing beer with rum, scotch or whiskey. You can book advance tickets from January and at the fest.
