Radhanagar Beach
On the Western Coast of Havelock Island is the spectacular Radhanagar Beach, which is locally known as beach No.7. It’s amazingly picturesque with soft golden sands, turquoise waters, and a small stretch of green forests in close proximity. Serenity is omnipresent, making it a favourite haunt of romancing couples. The nearby resorts and cafes provide all the amenities that tourists need for a perfect beach vacation. It’s located about 12kms from Havelock’s ferry pier and has won the precious award of the ‘best beach in Asia’ by TIME Magazine.
Elephant Beach
Another beautiful beach on the Havelock Island, the Elephant Beach is serene and wild without being completely remote. It is small, but boasts magnificent natural beauty, and offers a plethora of exciting excursions. It is considered to be one of the best snorkelling spots in Asia, thanks to its clear blue waters that host a rich marine life. Apart from the colourful corals and colonies of fish, the waters on the island feature many rare aqua species including sea horse and fringe-lip flathead. For water-sports enthusiasts, many local operators provide necessary equipment and training. There is a range of hotels and beach huts that offer comfortable accommodation with breathtaking oceanic views. The only way to reach Elephant Beach is a boat ride from Havelock Island.
Diglipur Island
Located in Northern Andaman Island, Diglipur is well worth exploring for an adventurous experience in the archipelago’s scenic wilderness. The small island has plenty of beaches that promise an unhurried escapade to the lap of nature. Head to Ram Nagar Beach for a perfect leisurely day of enjoying the sun, sand, and the surf. A short drive along the coast takes you to some lesser-known, yet fascinating hangouts such as Lamiya Bay and Kalipur. Guitar Island Beach
With a shape resembling a guitar, this secluded beach on the Long Island has an abundance of natural beauty. The calm and pristine waters here are perfect for swimming, while the soft, white sands make for a great setting to enjoy sunbathing, while taking in the captivating views of the sea. The surrounding evergreen forests make it a heaven for walking amidst scenic natural locales. The Long island is about 82km from Port Blair and is easily accessible by daily ferries.
