Lufthansa plans to expand its network in the USA. The airline will start offering, from September 25, 2015, new nonstop service from Frankfurt to the Tampa Bay area. The carrier will run four weekly flights in winter and five weekly in summer.

By launching flights to Tampa, Florida from Frankfurt, Lufthansa will be adding another US destination in its network. The service will start on September 25th, 2014, and the carrier will offer tickets for four weekly wintertime flights on the route.

There are plans to increase the flight service to five a week for Lufthansa’s summer schedule. This will be Lufthansa’s third flight route in Florida, USA; the airline already offers tickets on flights to Miami and Orlando.

“We’re delighted that our passengers will soon be able to fly in comfort, non-stop from the West Coast of Florida to Frankfurt,” Lufthansa CEO Karl Ulrich Garnadt said. “We’re expecting the new direct connection to elicit huge interest and demand, especially from leisure travellers.”

The airline will be using Airbus A340-300 jets on the Tampa- Frankfurt route. Business, Premium Economy and Economy class seats will be available for travellers seeking tickets on flights.

Across all travel classes, passengers will enjoy an individual in-flight entertainment system with a variety of offerings, as well as broadband Internet connectivity via the FlyNet Wi-Fi hotspot onboard.

As per the airline website, Flight LH 482 will take off from Frankfurt International Airport and arrive in Tampa in the afternoon (local time) after a journey of almost eleven hours. For the return flight, the aircraft will depart in the early evening and arrive at the Frankfurt Airport in the morning of the following day.

Travellers can further connect to over 145 destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East via Frankfurt by making bookings with Lufthansa.
