British travellers are being urged to consider taking out a multi-trip travel insurance policy to save money on their holiday plans as a new report suggests Brits are travelling more.
According to a study carried out by Sainsbury’s Travel Insurance, 16.4 million people are thought to be taking more than one holiday this summer and 670,000 people admitted to taking more holidays than normal to escape the economic situation at home.
“The millions of people who are going on holiday more than once this summer would be well-advised to buy a multi-trip travel insurance policy before they go away,” suggested Sam Marr, head of travel insurance at the company.
He went on to say that this could mean “significant savings” compared to buying single-trip cover.
