A poll has revealed that travel companions were the most common cause of a ruined holiday.
Travellers looking to book a flight to Thailand or another long-haul destination for a holiday may wish to consider who they travel with carefully.
A recent poll has revealed that an irritable travel partner is the number one cause for an unpleasant holiday experience.
“Whilst we can’t change the weather, we can choose our travelling companions and if we’re spending a week or two with the same people almost 24/7, personalities can clash,” explained Barry Smith, cofounder and director of the company.
Other reasons cited as “holiday spoilers” by visitors to the website included bad weather, feeling a little heavy on the beach, insect bites, travel delays and bad customer service.
According to Travelfish.org, people taking a holiday in Thailand may find the weather is tropical for most of the year countrywide.
However, the north and south of Thailand have different seasonal patterns, with the north of the country being cooler from November to February.
