Thai golfer Thaworn Wiratchant is feeling confident ahead of playing some of the best players in the world.
People taking flights to Thailand in order to see the Thai Open could be interested to hear that a local player is currently feeling optimistic about his chances.
Thaworn Wiratchant is currently preparing to take on some of the world’s biggest names in order to the $1 million (£619,000) prize which is on offer in the golfing event in his home country, AP reported.
The 44-year-old player told the news association that he has played seven practise rounds over the last nine days at the Suwan Golf and Country Club, before the event starts on Thursday August 10th 2011.
“I feel that this could be one of my last chances to win the Thailand Open. The new generation of Thai golfers are taking over,” Mr Wiratchant said.
Those who are more interested in enjoying a stage show on their holiday could enjoy taking in a production of Tawipob: The Musical in Bangkok.
