A new floating market has opened in central Thailand, offering visitors a shopping trip with a difference.
The central Thai region of Pak Chong has launched a new floating market, offering another unique shopping experience to visitors arriving on flights to Thailand.
Located near the city of Nakhon Ratchasima, the market offers travellers a relaxing way to browse through regional produce, while enjoying the allure of the waterways, the Bangkok Post reports.
Shoppers can browse through roughly 70 outlets, offering products such as garden decorative dolls, bamboo furniture and salee steamed cakes.
Families will find plenty to appeal to them, as there is an open-air food court, an amusement area for children with a Ferris wheel, and an amusement park ride.
Visitors to the Pak Chong district can also enjoy countryside activities such as trekking, camping and various other outdoor pursuits, the local newspaper added.
Pak Chong floating market is open six days per week (excluding Tuesdays) from 10am to 7pm, local time.
