Bangkok is to once again play host to a collection of stunning gems at its showcase.
People taking flights to Bangkok will be able to see some of the world’s most stunning precious stones next month as the Gems and Jewellery Fair returns to the city.
Now celebrating its 48th outing, the event is taking place from September 14th to 18th 2011 at the Impact Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Opening from 10:00 local time daily, the event will see dozens of countries coming to show off their wares from around Asia, with stallholders expected from the likes of Cambodia and China, as well as Thailand itself.
While the event is free of charge to pre-registered business visitors, members of the general public who wish to see some of the magnificent creations will have to pay an entrance free of 100 baht (£2.03).
Those taking flights to Bangkok to attend the show could be planning to travel by taxi around the city, after its cabs were named the best value for money in the world in a study by Hotels.com.
