Air France has been noted for its success in creating an online presence.

 People booking flights to Thailand or other countries with Air France could have been swayed in their decision by the company’s strong online presence.

The carrier has recently been awarded for its excellent work on social media with the honour of best e-reputation at the 25th Grand Prix from Communication & Enterprise awards.

Air France’s Facebook page in particular was praised by the panel of 30 judges, with the reactions of the social media team noted as being particularly impressive.

A statement from the jury noted: “Air France has managed to create a real e-reputation hub on Facebook, with questions answered in about ten languages and a subtle balance of a corporate tool and business support.”

There are currently 800,000 fans of Air France’s Facebook page and 120,000 followers on Twitter.

Some events which people taking Air France flights to Thailand could enjoy include the Kings Cup Regatta, which opens in Phuket on December 3rd 2011.
