American singer Tori Amos is set to perform a series of dates in South Africa.

Travellers on flights to Johannesburg in November could also plan to book a ticket to see Tori Amos play live after the performer announced a string of shows in the city.

The American singer is set to embark on a huge tour of Europe from September in promotion of her new record Night of Hunters.

After playing shows in countries including Germany, Holland and Norway, the Professional Widow singer will be travelling down to South Africa to open the first of her shows in Johannesburg on November 12th 2011.

She will play three nights at the city’s Theatre of Marcelius at the Emperors Casino in total, before heading to Cape Town for a final show in the country on November 17th at the Grand Arena, Grand West Casino.

People who travel to on flights to Johannesburg could agree with Calvyn Gilfellan, chief executive officer of Cape Town Routes Unlimited, that the country is still benefitting from hosting the Fifa World Cup in 2010.
