Cape Town is poised to host its annual art exhibition at the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens.
Travellers on flights to Cape Town who want to experience some culture during their stay could pay a visit to the Annual Exhibition by the South African Society of Artists (SASA).
Held in the Sanlam Hall at the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, the exhibition provides a showcase for both established and emerging artist from across South Africa.
Now in its 105th year, the 2011 event opened on September 26th and will run until October 9th, with doors opening at 09:30 local time daily.
Each of the works on display was created by members of the SASA and has been chosen by independent judges.
Entry to the exhibition is free, but a fee applies for visitors to enter the surrounding gardens.
People on flights to Cape Town can also celebrate the diverse cultures that are present in the city by attending the Diwali events taking place at Ratanga Junction during next month.
