Anyone booking flights to South Africa for the World Cup may be interested in some information about somewhere cheap to stay during the competition.
Travellers booking flights to Johannesburg ahead of the World Cup this summer may have started thinking about where to stay once they arrive in the country.
People looking for a way to cut the cost of their trip may be interested in a campsite which will be set up in the city for fans who have made the journey to support their national team.
According to the Daily Mail, Tent City could hold the answer to many people’s accommodation needs.
Located in Waverley Park, it will host almost 1,500 people. For anyone who is worried about the baggage allowance – there will be more than 1,200 tents available for rent, in addition to 200 empty pitches for anyone who brings their own canvas.
The price of a rented tent per night will be 570 Rand (£44), while the cost of a pitch is 330 Rand (£27).
However, England fans may have to wait until the latter rounds of the competition to visit Johannesburg as none of the side’s opening group matches are to be played in the city.
