Indian carriers like IndiGo and Jet Airways are commencing flights from major cities of India to UAE. The news is sure to please passengers who frequently travel between the two destinations.
Budget travellers flying on India-UAE route have a reason to rejoice as the two India-based airlines are all set to commence flights from Indian cities to UAE.
A low-cost carrier, IndiGo has announced the launch of daily non-stop flights from Kochi and Chennai to Dubai while a full-service airline, Jet Airways, will start direct flights to Sharjah from Mumbai.
IndiGo will commence daily flights on the route from August 25 while the introductory return fare will be INR11,200 (AED746 / GBP128 approx), the airline’s sources were revealed.
The low-cost carrier has recently started operations of second direct and daily flight from Delhi and Hyderabad, the two prominent destinations of India, to Dubai and between Delhi and Bangkok.
Like IndiGo, Jet Airways is also going to begin new Mumbai-Sharjah route from October 18. In addition to the existing four daily services to Dubai and one daily flight to Abu Dhabi, it will be the sixth daily service between Mumbai and UAE.
The new flight operations will cater to the growing demands of passengers travelling between Gulf and India. As per the reports, Jet Airways is also enhancing its service on India-Gulf sector in the winter schedule.
As more airlines are entering into the Dubai-Kochi and Sharjah-Mumbai sector, travellers seeking cheap flights will get ample of flight options.
While Jet Airways’ new flights will appeal to all, IndiGo Airline’s flights connecting UAE with India and beyond will particularly gain popularity with travellers seeking a cheap connecting flight over the long haul routes originating from the UK and rest of Europe.
