Emirates to Operate Special A380 Service to Mauritius

International travellers looking for tickets deals on flights connecting the famous island holiday destination of Mauritius with Dubai in March will be able to net tickets aboard Emirates’ sleek A380 airliners.

Dubai based carrier, Emirates is all set to offer tickets aboard its special A380 flight to mark the 45th anniversary of Mauritius’ independence in March, 2013, revealed online sources.

Airline’s special A380 flight will be the first ever commercial A380 flights to land on the island nation.

The carrier has been offering tickets on flights arriving in Mauritius since the year 2002. And the airline usually operates its Boeing 777-300 aircraft to offer flights tickets between Dubai and Mauritius.

In December 2012, the airline started offering tickets on double daily flights, increasing its total number of services from 12 flights a week to 14 weekly flights in its endeavour to tap the growing travel demand on the popular route.

Ahmed Khoory, airline’s senior vice president commercial, West Asia and Indian Ocean, said, “The A380 is the flag-ship of the Emirates fleet. We felt that by arranging this special flight it was a fitting way to support the official celebrations of the island’s independence. Emirates believes in connecting people and so on this special day for the Mauritian people, it is pleasing to be able to bring even more visitors to the island.”

Passengers looking to experience Emirates’ sleek A380 in-flight product and service on the route may book their tickets on special flight EK 701, scheduled to arrive in Mauritius at 09.40 on 12th March 2013. The return flight EK702 will depart from Mauritius at 23.20 the same day.
