Malaysia Airlines to Become Oneworld Member

Patrons of Malaysia Airlines who prefer to book flights tickets with the operator would be delighted with the proposition that the Malaysian carrier is all set to become a full member of oneworld alliance from February 2013.

As per media sources, the flag carrier of Malaysia received clearance to join the group after going through a meticulous review of its promptness which was conducted by Qantas with the oneworld’s central team. Qantas is sponsoring the entry of MAS into the grouping.

Malaysia Airlines’ addition to one of the world’s leading aviation alliance is sure to spell good news for flyers who book flights tickets with it.

Members of the carrier’s Enrich loyalty program, who become so by booking flights tickets regularly with the operator, will now have their frequent flyer privileges extended to all members of the oneworld. These include the likes of airberlin, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Qantas and Royal Jordanian and some 25 affiliated operators. The privileges would include earning miles and redeeming them as well as earning tier status points when booking flights tickets with these carriers.

Malaysia Airlines will be expanding the alliance’s global network considerably, adding 14 new destinations and offering new routes to flights tickets seekers. Moreover, MAS will boost the group’s connectivity between several major cities in Asia and other parts of the globe.
