Former Jackson Five member Jermaine plans to hold a concert in Mumbai – potentially good news for those booking holidays in India.

Jermaine Jackson has announced that he plans to hold a concert in Mumbai to celebrate the life of his younger brother, Michael.

The singer, a former member of the Jackson Five, recently visited the Indian location and said it is one of the best places to be.

“We’ll do concerts in Michael’s memory in various parts of the world, including Mumbai which is now one of my favourite cities,” he explained – something those who have taken cheap holidays in India may agree with.

The vocalist has been in town recently recording a song with Adnam Sami, a Pakistani singer now residing in Mumbai.

His brother Michael died in June after suffering from cardiac arrest at his mansion in Los Angeles, spurring floods of tributes and messages from all corners of the globe.

This is not the only optimistic news for Mumbai to be reported of late.

Last month, a report compiled by Forbes.com lauded the city as a formidable financial, economic and tourist area and predicted that it would become one of the world’s ‘capital cities’ in the future.
