People who are taking holidays to India and are intending to visit the region of Kerala could find a new attraction on offer there soon.

Anyone who has booked flights to India with the intention of  staying in the Kerala area may be pleased to hear that the Tourism Ministry for the region is considering introducing a sea plane service.

Tourism Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan explained that a study is underway to determine whether sea plane flights would be feasible, Asian Lite reported.

He told the news provider: “The proposed project will become a reality only if the feasibility study looks into areas of pollution and whether inland water transport and fishing will be affected.”

Earlier in the week, one high-profile official claimed that if the sea plane flights were introduced, it would allow tourists to arrive at any major airport and reach any district.

The region, which is situated on the south-western tip of India, promises holidaymakers relaxation in stunning natural surroundings.

Among its attractions are its hill stations, quiet backwaters and exotic wildlife.
