People booking flights to India with Jet Airways may be interested in the company’s latest project.
Jet Airways has launched a scheme that allows passengers to check the lowest fares available on the company’s website by text message or SMS.
Customers can send a text that includes the city of origin, destination and date of travel and they will then receive a reply that includes flight times and the cheapest tickets on offer.
The carrier is the first in India to introduce such a service. It has already developed schemes that allow passengers to view real-time flight updates and check-in for a flight via text.
Sudheer Raghavan, chief commercial officer at the airline, said: “We are confident that it will be popular with our travellers and encourage more people to book their fares online.”
The airline operates flights to 63 destinations around the world, serving passengers in Asia, Europe and North America.
Jet Airways, which was established in 1993, is one of India’s leading aviators having won the title of the country’s best domestic airline on a number of occasions.
