Bangalore has been named in a list of the top places to visit during 2012.
There could be an increase in the number of people who are looking to book cheap flights to Bangalore after it was named as one of the top cities to visit by Lonely Planet.
The global travel guide has compiled a list of places to visit next year and named Bangalore in third place on the run down.
Coming behind London and Muscat, the city was however placed ahead of locations such as Stockholm and Hong Kong.
The Best In Travel list is drawn from the recommendations of Lonely Planet staff, authors and its community of travellers, bloggers and tweeters who use the company’s website.
Each of the location was then narrowed down by the group’s in house travel experts to find the most attractive locations for the coming 12 months.
People who take cheap flights to Bangalore in the coming months could be among the first to use the new travelators which have been installed on the Byappannahalli Metro station.
