Holidaymakers flying with Gulf Air now have the luxury of packing more items, as the airline has announced an increase in luggage allowance.
Those booking cheap flights to Dubai and elsewhere with Gulf Air can now enjoy a greater baggage allowance, it has been revealed.
The airline has raised passengers’ maximum luggage allocation to 30 kg in economy and 40 kg for business-class passengers.
Jetsetters who have bought a first-class ticket can allow for a baggage weight limit of 50 kg.
This announcement may be a welcome one to those planning holidays in Dubai and other exotic destinations after many airlines in recent years have restricted allowances for reasons such as eco-friendless and cutting back on costs.
Gulf Air, which was founded in 1950, is fully owned by the Kingdom of Bahrain through the Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company and started out a small-scale commuter service.
However, it has now grown to become a major international airline that serves more than 40 locations around the globe and is headed up by chief executive officer Samer Majali.
