Etihad has announced it is to fly to a further 80 destinations in the coming 12 months.
Travellers on flights to Abu Dhabi with Etihad Airways could soon have a wide range of destinations to choose from for connecting journeys as the airline has unveiled a raft of new trips.
The carrier has announced it is to partner up with Air Berlin on a codesharing operation, which means it will now be able to offer an additional 80 locations to its schedules, bringing the total number of destinations it serves to 289.
As a result of this change, it is now offering more destinations than any other Gulf carriers.
“The number of codeshare partners Etihad Airways has, and the number of destinations it is now able to serve, is a point of marked differentiation,” said Etihad chief executive officer James Hogan.
Travellers who plan to take flights to Abu Dhabi in the coming months could be able to take in the emirate’s Art Fair, which is poised to be the biggest yet in 2012.
