Emirates will use A380s for all of its Heathrow flights from February.

Holidays to Dubai, Sydney and Bangkok are special events that often live long in the memory.

But a new announcement from Emirates means that the experience could begin at the airport, as the carrier will be exclusively using the world’s largest passenger aircraft the Airbus A380 for all its London Heathrow flights.

“Due to high customer demand for the A380 product, soon, travellers to and from London Heathrow will be able to enjoy our flagship aircraft on every flight,” said Salem Obaidalla, the Dubai airline’s senior vice president of commercial operations.

Passengers in all of the aircraft’s cabins will have access to more than 1,200 channels of entertainment, while a personal satellite phone is fitted to each seat.

From February 1st, all of the five daily flights from Heathrow will be serviced by the super jumbo.

Emirates already operates a daily A380 flight from Manchester to Dubai.
