Etihad Airways has been named as the world’s leading airline by the World Travel Awards.
James Hogan, chief executive officer of Etihad Airways, said: “It shows that our service ethic is well embedded and that we have the ability to consistently deliver what customers want.
“The aviation industry is fiercely competitive and to win an accolade like this, and be placed amongst the best in the world, is something we will continue to strive for year on year.”
World Travel Awards are based on the online votes of around 185,000 industry professionals and consumers.
Etihad operates a total of 56 aircraft, which fly around 1,000 flights per week to 66 destinations in 43 countries.
