People taking flights to Dubai International Airport will be given a special travel pack on landing.The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) believe the pack will give information to visitors about the state’s public transport links and help explain the system.

A new travel pass named Terhaal is due to be launched in Dubai that will make allow more integrated travel and has been designed to ensure tourists are able to travel around easily.

Peyman Younes Parham, director of the RTA’s marketing and corporate communications, said: “The overall objective is to ensure that visitors are given an immediate overview of public transport modes including Dubai metro, Dubai bus and Dubai water bus.”

The pack will contain information about the public transport systems as well as maps plus details of local attractions and how to get to them using public transport.

Initially, the Terhaal will be available from duty free shops at airports, hotels and shopping malls. It will also be on aircraft operated by Emirates.
