JAL has announced it will be using its new Dreamliner to travel between Tokyo and Delhi.
The new Dreamliner aircraft is to be used for the route between Delhi and Tokyo’s Narita Airport.
Carrier Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced it will be introducing the new Boeing 787 to make the journey between the two capital cities.
“With the launch of the Dreamliner, India will become the second country in JAL’s operations to get this special high-end aircraft. This reiterates our commitment to the Indian market,” said JAL country manager Yasushi Isomura.
He added that India is currently one of the most popular routes for the airline.
JAL currently operates flights five days a week between Delhi and the Japanese capital with Boeing 777 aircraft.
To begin with, the Dreamliner will be used on four of the five scheduled services between the cities each week.
Delhi Airport offers a range of different facilities to be used by travellers before and after their flights, with the terminals boasting sleeping pods and showers.
