Tourism New South Wales has revealed that its new campaign for Sydney will focus on the city’s “extraordinary aspects”.
Tourism New South Wales is hoping to encourage more people to book flights to Sydney with the launch of its latest campaign to promote the city.
Minister for tourism Jodi McKay was at the event to showcase the new marketing campaign last week.
She explained that officials are trying to “capture all the extraordinary aspects of Sydney – its ethnicity, diversity, audacity – under the Sydnicity banner”.
Ms McKay added that Sydney has more to offer visitors than its food, culture, arts, fashion and natural assets.
A number of famous faces from around Sydney are getting involved in the campaign, including Richard Tognetti – artistic director of the Australian Chamber Orchestra – and Layne Beachley, the seven times ASP women’s world surfing champion.
Sydney boasts an eclectic mix of attractions to keep visitors busy, with landmarks such as the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, as well as its proximity to Bondi Beach, all draws for tourists.
