Australian ferry firm announces special price deals for 2010

Many people head off on flights to Sydney keen to see as much of Australia as possible – and with a number of new deals being offered by a ferry firm, such travel could be much cheaper this year.Spirit of Tasmania is offering customers who book by September 10th for travel until December 16th one way journeys for just $74 (£42). For the same amount again, travellers can even take their car on the ferry, making for an easy journey to their next destination when they arrive at port.

Ferry customers get a recliner seat in a private lounge as standard but for a bit more privacy, an extra $45 per person gets a twin porthole cabin which comfortably sleeps two people.

One of the main benefits of utilising ferry travel after a cheap flight to Australia is the fact that there are no baggage limits on the boats, so travellers need not worry that the Australian souvenirs they have picked up during their break will take them over the weight threshold.
