Australian airline Qantas has expand the amount of free luggage that passengers are allowed to check in.

Passengers on flights to Australia will now be able to pack more in, as Qantas has announced a larger checked baggage allowance across its flight network.

As the only Australian airline to provide passengers with a free checked baggage allowance regardless of their travel class, Qantas is extending this policy for all its domestic and international flights.

Flyers in economy class will be entitled to take one piece of free luggage with them up to a total weight of 23kg, while business class travellers and Silver and Gold Qantas Club members can take 32kg worth of luggage in one bag.

Platinum Frequent flyers will be allowed two bags weighing up to 32kg each, while adults flying with small children can take up to three infant items of up to 10kg each, as well as one stroller and one car seat.

This excludes all flights to and from Lord Howe Island, Olympic Dam and Mount Hotham airports.
