Backpackers booking flights to Sydney may be interested to know that a new YHA has opened in the city.
Travellers planning cheap holidays to Australia can opt to stay at the latest YHA to open in the country.
Situated in the heart of Sydney, the hostel is in The Rocks district of the city, right by the harbour.
The Sydney Harbour YHA offers twin, double and family rooms as well as dormitory accommodation traditionally found in hostels – some with Opera House views.
Facilities include an internet cafe, laundry room, self-catering kitchen and a convenience store. The hostel also boasts a roof terrace that looks out over the harbour and offers views of the Opera House.
Ross Lardner, manager at the hostel, said: “Sydney Harbour YHA makes quality accommodation in Sydney’s highly sought after The Rocks precinct available to everyone.”
Prices begin at AU$42 (£24) for a dorm room, rising to AU$159 (£90) for double or twin rooms.
This is the ninth YHA in Sydney and the 98th in Australia. The association operates hostels around the world, with sites in countries including the UK, Dubai and South Africa.
