Qatar Airways has introduced an additional service from Manchester to Doha that will boost travel options for those taking onward flights to Australia, the Far East or Africa.
The airline, launched in 1997, is adding an extra flight per day between Manchester airport and Qatar from the start of June – bringing the total number of flights per day to two.
Chief executive officer Akbar Al Baker explained that strong demand for the current daily service had influenced the need for an extra flight to meet that strong demand.
“Manchester has long proved to be one of our successful routes so it was only a matter of time before we could deploy additional capacity into this market,” he added.
The new flight will make use of Airbus A330 aircraft and travellers will be able to choose between economy class and business class seating.
