Head to Sydney’s Art Gallery of New South Wales to view the works of some of Australia’s finest artists.

Those who have booked flights to Sydney and are looking for an activity that is a little different from the sun, surf and sightseeing associated with the destination may wish to head to the city’s Art Gallery of New South Wales.

Up until May 23rd, 14 of Australia’s most notable modern artists will be displaying their works in the gallery’s Wilderness exhibition.

The display may be particularly inviting to nature lovers, as some of the themes explored by the artists’ works include the concept of wilderness and how both real and imaginary landscapes and nature can be fascinating.

Holidaymakers who are hoping to see Sydney on a budget may also find that the exhibition is well worth adding to their itinerary, as it is totally free.

Featuring works from the likes of Daniel Boyd and Mary Scott, Wilderness is the first in a new series of exhibitions at the gallery.

Those who have booked flights to Australia in the coming months will be able to view showcases of photography as well as contemporary sculptures and installations.
