Fans of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here could recreate their own bushtucker trials by taking flights to Australia.
The area, which is famous for the Great Barrier Reef, is also home to the Cape Tribulation and Daintree National Parks, with the Crocodylus YHA offering the perfect accommodation for wildlife fans. There are organised night-time walks so that guests can spot a host of rainforest inhabitants including fireflies, tree frogs and possums.
More adventurous travellers may be tempted to take part in a special experience called jungle surfing. The unique YHA rainforest tour is conducted on special zip lines that connect to tree height platforms so participants can gain a bird’s eye view to the jungle floor and never touch the floor
YHA Australia is part of backpacker accommodation network, Hostelling International, which overseas over 4,000 YHA hostels in more than 60 countries.
