Armavia, the Armenian national carrier, has launched new flights connecting Birmingham with Amritsar in India. The flight makes for a good indirect connection between the two cities as it operates via Yerevan.

In its endeavour to boost international connectivity to Amritsar, the Armenian flag carrier, Armavia has started offering connecting flights from Birmingham to Amritsar in India via Yerevan in Armenia, revealed the airline’s press release.

On the 24th July 2012, Armavia launched its first direct flight to India from Yerevan connecting Amritsar, one of the popular Indian cities. The airline operated its first flight with a Boeing 737 aircraft. The airline is all set to operate flights 2/3 times a week.

Airline’s press release further revealed the schedule as under:

2nd day

The flights will depart from Yerevan, Armenia at 20:00 (local time) and will arrive Amritsar by 01:55/+1(local time). The return flight will depart from Amritsar, India at 03:10 (local time) and will arrive at Yerevan at 06:35 (local time).

3rd day

The flights will depart from Yerevan at 20:30 (local time) and will arrive Amritsar, India by 02:25/+1 (local time). The return flight will depart from Amritsar, India at 03:40 (local time) and will arrive at Yerevan at 05:10 (local time).

Furthermore, on 25th of July, 2012 Armavia also initiated direct flights on Yerevan-Birmingham-Yerevan route. The flight provides a good connection to passengers travelling on route Birmingham-Yerevan-Amritsar and vice versa and will be operated 3 days a week.

The flights will depart from Yerevan at 08:00 (local time) and will arrive at Birmingham by 10:25 (local time). The return flight will depart from Birmingham at 11:25 (local time) and will arrive at Yerevan at 17:15 (local time).
