The world renowned Vancouver International Wine Festival is Canada’s prime wine and food event that attracts visitors from all around the globe.

Vancouver International Wine Festival Dates

The festival will begin on 22nd of February and go on till 1st of March.


Although the festival is celebrated across a number of venues (includes restaurants and airport lounges) across Vancouver, the centre of attraction will be the International Festival Tastings at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

Festival Overview

The Vancouver Wine festival is one of the world’s oldest and largest wine festivals. More than 160 wineries from 16 countries will be participating in the 42nd instalment of this fest featuring 1450 wines. 50+ events are organised all across Vancouver, out of which around 40 are open for public and the rest are for wine industry and hospitality folks.

The International Festival Tastings event at the Vancouver Convention Centre will be featuring more than 700 wines for tasting and sampling. Apart from that, you can attend other events being held at more than a dozen hotels and restaurants.

The tickets for these events start from 30 Pounds and go up to 400 pounds for VIP Gold Pass. These prices include wine tasting as well as food (if available at the event).

Festival’s Spotlight: The festival spotlights a wine producing country or a region each year, and this year’s focus will be on Rosé wines from France.

Public Events

7 days of Vancouver International Wine Festival are open for public. The events you can participate in include wine tasting, food events, seminars, minglers and more. Here’s a list of public events held during the festival:

  • A launch party introducing the wineries from the region/country in focus on Tuesday.
  • International Festival Tasting event on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
  • Wine Seminars and Minglers.
  • Winery Dinners on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
  • Lunch on Saturday highlighting various wine producing countries.
  • Vintners Brunch along with food and wine pairing competition with local chefs on Sunday.
