The Formula One British Grand Prix is back with a bang at the legendary Silverstone circuit in Northamptonshire, England. The ‘king’ of motor racing events will be held from 8th to 10th July at the circuit, which is described by the best F1 drivers as ‘insanely fast’. One of the oldest yet continuously held Formula 1 World Championship Grand Prix events, the British Grand Prix is also hailed as one of the world’s greatest sporting events. So, car racing fans may well gear up for a weekend of great sports and great partying with a horde of racing fanatics all around!

This year, the British Grand Prix will be a weekend of incredible sports and fun, with a line-up of enthralling concerts, parachute display shows, pit walks for racing fans, the Grand Prix after party, Giant Wheel ride, electric carts, segways and even aircraft displays.

Entertainment

Music

The entire weekend will see fantastic musical performances and the opening ceremony will be held in Texas on the night of 8th July. British pop band Scouting for Girls will also perform a full set on the opening night. Music band Mike & The Mechanics, the Severs, and singer Lucy Spraggan will rock the crowds on 9th July. The English band, The Feeling and an all-girl rock band, The Dolls will perform at the party after 10 pm.

Pit Walk

This year, the F1 pit lane will be opened and a limited number of fans will be allowed exclusive ‘behind the scenes’ access to the race circuit of the F1 British Grand Prix 2016 on 7th July. There will also be a post-race track walk for fans after the races on 10th July.

Rides And Adventures

For some more fun, fans can enjoy the various rides and light adventure sports. These rides include the Giant Wheel, which is more than 100 feet high and one of the tallest rides of its kind across the UK. Then, there are electric go-karts that will allow kids at the event to prove their skills as an F1 driver. Segways will also be there to offer a great experience to fans at the event. There will be dedicated tracks for fans too. Another attraction of the event, the Bungee Trampoline will offer the adrenaline rush of bungee jumping but minus the risks. Furthermore, there will be a High Ropes Course and the spiral sliding amusement ride Helter Skelter among other light adventurous activities at the event.

Food and Beverages

There will be a range of great food and drinks options for racing fans around the Silverstone circuit. One may look forward to plenty of craft beer, Roastery coffee, Italian Fuorvito Pizza, Smoking Bones barbeque food items, gourmet burgers, Rickshaw Club’s Indian street food, sausages from Sauls of Spratton and South Africa’s Bunnymans Bunnychow.
