Global Carriers Eye India with Renewed Interest

It appears that international carriers are renewing their interest in India, adding new destinations and increasing frequencies. The move is sure to delight passengers who often look for tickets to travel to various destinations in India.

Global travellers are likely to have more flights options to buy tickets for travel to popular cities in India. International carriers have renewed their interest in the country’s aviation market and are looking to add new flights and destinations, say a report in one of India’s leading English dailies.

The airlines also plan to increase frequencies from some prominent destinations in India.

Carriers like Virgin Atlantic and Cathay Pacific have either already started offering tickets on new flights or plan to start flights to new destinations in India.

Recently, Virgin Atlantic restored its flight services and started offering tickets deals on the Mumbai connection. The airline has also plans to offer tickets on new flights to Hyderabad, Goa and Bangalore soon.

Hong Kong based Cathay Pacific has already announced Hyderabad as its new destination from December. While, the carrier offers tickets on flights connecting Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai, and its wholly-owned subsidiary Dragonair offers tickets options for Kolkata and Bangalore in India.

The latest to join the bandwagon is Maldivian national carrier, Maldivian Airline that has announced to start offering tickets on flights connecting Mumbai and Chennai with Male.

Air Asia is considering an increase in its flights frequencies from numerous destinations it currently operates from. The regional low-cost operator plans to increase its flight frequency from Delhi, Kochi, Tiruchirappalli and Chennai.

With increased frequency and new connections to India, international visitors will get ample of options for a seamless connectivity to the country and beyond. More number of flights may also spell cheap deals on tickets for the flyers.
