Bringing much cheer to international flyers who regularly seek flights tickets for India travel, airlines in the country will be registering a growth of around 58 % in the number of global services from October 2013.
In what could be great news for global flyers looking for new and flexible flights options for travel to India, Indian carriers will witness the number of international services mount up to 1,695 a week by October 2013 from current 1,074. It would be a growth of almost 58 per cent.
Government of India has not only allowed domestic operators to fly on some new international routes but is also authorizing them to enhance the frequency of flights to worldwide destinations, allowing passengers to have a vast choice in terms of tickets availability.
Air India, country’s flag carrier, has been permitted to run daily flights from Delhi to Rome-Madrid-Barcelona and Moscow, from the 2013 Summer Schedule. From Winter Schedule 2013, the national airline would be able to offer patrons flights tickets on daily services between Mumbai and Nairobi.
Other private Indian carriers too have been allowed to fly on new routes.
Authorities have given permission to the carriers based in the country to operate flights to a set of new destinations. Rome, Madrid, Barcelona, Sydney, Melbourne, Nairobi, Al Najaf (Iraq), Me cities for where Indian carriers could run flights and offer air travel oscow, Zurich, Macau, Tashkent and Ho Chi Minh City are thtickets.
Industry insiders believe that the rise in the number of traffic rights is likely to bring down tickets prices and present cheap alternatives for travellers seeking affordable flights tickets on travel to and from India. Media reports also indicate that Indian government is expected to hold fresh bilateral talks with different nations, including Thailand, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Macao, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
