Best Time to Cruise the Nile

This wind blows throughout the country and is known as the Sirocco and Khamsin by Europeans and Egyptians respectively. These winds carry sand dust particles and can rage at speeds of 140 km/hr and push up temperatures by as high as 20° C within a couple of hours. Khamsin, which can continue for days, has been known to cause illnesses and can impact the region as far East as Cairo.
