The Goa tourism department is all ready to promote the destination during the rainy months. Tourists usually block tickets aboard Goa flights and flock this beach paradise of India for its sun and sand.

Goa to Boost Monsoon Tourism

India’s premier beach destination, Goa is all set to promote monsoon tourism. The coastal state traditionally attracts beach bums looking for some seaside fun under the sun after booking tickets aboard India bound flights. International tourists usually shy away from grabbing Goa flights in the monsoon that usually begins in the month of June. The state authorities, however, seem in a mood to change all that.

The authorities in the state have launched various new attractions like white water rafting in the Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary, something that is going to tempt tourists into booking air tickets for the destination. Several other means are being explored to persuade people to get hold of tickets on flights to the smallest state of India. Hotels are offering special packages for the season, making Goa holidays a cheap proposition for budget vacationers boarding flights.

Goa is also being promoted as monsoon wedding destination and for MICE (meetings, incentives, conference and exhibition) tourism. Industry experts are expecting big footfalls from West Asian countries during the wet season as the heat is at its peak during this time in Arab countries where people seek travel tickets for cooler places.

While the destination is hugely popular with foreign tourists, Goan authorities are also looking to push domestic tourists in India to get onboard Goa flights or to grab hold of train tickets and land here. Road shows and publicity campaigns are being held across eight states of India to promote the cause.
