Sydney is laying on a range of events for visitors looking to mark the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

If your flights to Australia mean you’ll be out of the UK during the Royal Wedding, then fear not, as the Australian city of Sydney is laying on a whole host of events for those hoping to see the happy couple tie the knot.

The ceremony will be streamed live from London’s Westminster Abbey to Customs House Square, meaning locals can gather in public and join the estimated one billion people worldwide who are expected to tune in and watch the proceedings.

Anyone looking for a more exclusive event can reserve tickets for the Australian British Chamber of Commerce’s gala ball.

The evening includes dinner and dancing as well as music from tribute band Rolling Stoned and stand-up comedy from British comic Jeff Green.

A live broadcast of the wedding will be shown at this event and a donation from the proceeds will be made to Prince William’s Charitable Foundation.
