SpiceJet, India’s low-cost airline known for doling out cheap tickets deals, announced an expansion of its international operations by announcing new flights to Male and Dubai.

In good news to budget travellers seeking flight tickets for Indiaconnections, SpiceJet has announced launch of three direct daily flights services to Dubai and Maldives from the country. In an endeavour to inflate its international flights network, the no-frill carrier of India will be offering flights tickets on Kochi-Male, Kochi-Dubai and Dubai- Ahmedabad sectors. While the Indian airline already offers flights tickets for the Middle East hub, its connection to Maldives’ capital Male is a latest addition to international operations.

The carrier currently offers tickets deals on daily flights to cities in the UAE from Mumbai and Delhi.

SpiceJet CEO Neil Mills was quoted in media reports in India as saying, “We continue expanding our network on domestic as well as on international routes and decision to add three new routes is a another step on this programme. All of these three new routes are popular routes and customers can now enjoy affordable and comfortable flights.”

Flights on Kochi-Male sector would start from November 29, Kochi-Dubai from December 5 and Ahmedabad-Dubai from December 19, revealed an airline statement.

SpiceJet would be deploying 78-seater Bombardier Q400 plane on Kochi-Male route and for new Dubai connections, tickets will be provided on the 189-seater Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
